Yes they sure can! Feel free to bring along a second adullt to any class. This can be anyone of your choosing; dad, grandma, grandpa! Due to space restrictions only one additional adult is allowed to join.
  • Can anyone attend Strawbubs classes with my little one?
Yes. Not all mums and dads are able to come to classes and many are back to work full time. StrawBubs welcomes anyone who wants to bring your little one along, be that a grandparent/ In-laws or any other adult. As long as your little one is accompanied by an adult who is over the age of 16 it's totally up to you who attends with them.
  • If I miss a class is a make up class available?
I try my best to offer make-up classes but this all depends on availability. If you're able to let me know as soon as possible in advance If you can't make a class I'm much more likely to be able to offer you a make-up session. If you'd like to find out about make-up classes please send me an e-mail strawbubswithsarah@gmail.com or PM me via my social media platforms
  • I can’t commit to a block of classes, are single session bookings available?
Booking a single session might be an option. It all depends on my bookings and availability in each class. If you would like to guarantee a spot each week and would like the best price booking onto a block is the best option. If single-session bookings are available, they will be posted on my website under the 'Book A Class' tab and advertised on my social media platforms. Single-session bookings are charged at a higher rate.
  • Do you offer free trial classes or a special rate for your first class?
At this time I'm not offering any free trial classes. If there is space to join for a single session you can come and try out your first class for $15 plus HST. To find out about availability and to get booked on for a trial send Sarah an e-mail strawbubswithsarah@gmail.com
  • What age range are StrawBubs classes suitable for?
The age range for my classes is from newborn up until around 5 years of age. While it's true that newborns may not benefit as much from the class, I prefer to leave the decision to participate up to the parents, who may value the opportunity to socialize and meet others. I find that older children who are about to start school can enjoy the classes just as much as younger ones. Often when coming along with a younger sibling they engage with them by singing songs and playing games like "peek a boo," which can create some very special and memorable moments. Ultimately, their engagement really depends on individual interests from the child and how much they enjoy music and movement.
  • I'm not sure which class to attend with my child?
I offer two classes options for you and your little one(s). Which one you should attend depends on their age and mobility. StrawBubs Babies; This class is for any age baby not yet walking (Newborn- roughly 15 months) Once they're confidently walking they should move up into the mixed ages class. No older siblings are permitted in this class. StrawBubs Toddlers/ Mixed Ages; This class is suitable for suitable for any age baby, toddler or pre-schooler between the ages of 0-5 years. It's an ideal option for active little ones and those caregivers who want to bring younger siblings along. Younger siblings can join for half price. Although you're welcome to attend this class if your attending with a younger non-walking baby on their own, I recommend the baby class as the best option for this age group! However if you want to join a class with a friend or attend a class that suits your babies nap schedule better the mixed ages is a great option to expose your little one to a wider age range of children. If you're still unsure of which class to book please send me an e-mail.
  • What’s the maximum capacity for each class for caregivers and children?
At this time I’m booking a maximum of 12 spots per class for my morning classes and 10 spots for my early evening classes. The maximum amount of children allowed per class is 18.
  • Are caregivers always required to attend classes along with their child?
Yes! It’s mandatory that a caregivers over the age of 16 attends with any child. A child without an adult will not be permitted to join the class.
